About this event:
We’re thrilled to announce “Fridays with Poe at the Pratt”, starting on Friday the 13th, January 2017.
What better and more Poe-tic day than Friday the 13th to launch our new partnership with the Enoch Pratt Library? Between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm on January the 13th, the Pratt will share important Poe artifacts from their collection, as part of a free self-guided tour of the H. L. Mencken room. Just go to the Central Library’s Annex at 400 Cathedral Street, Baltimore, MD 21201. Space is limited, and tours CANNOT be reserved, so you might want to arrive shortly before your intended visit.
Then stop by Baltimore’s Poe House that same day and we’ll offer a special treat if you post a snapshot of the Pratt’s Charles Street façade on our Facebook page. Plus, anyone visiting 203 N Amity Street on Friday the 13th dressed (convincingly) as an identifiable Poe character will receive FREE museum admission. Otherwise, regular admission fees apply. What better way to launch the week leading up to Eddie’s 208th birthday?
