Attention reading lovers: Poe House’s popular Poe & Poets live poetry readings have expanded to include prose authors! Introducing a new author series from Poe Baltimore in partnership with Maryland Writers’ Association: Poe House Presents. Join us the second Sunday of each month as we welcome a new author for a reading of selected Poe stories/poems and an excerpt of their written work.

Mary K. Tilghman will read from Poe’s short story, “MS Found in a Bottle,” then share excerpts from her novel, Divided Loyalties.

Mary K. Tilghman, a Maryland native, has spent 40 years writing for local newspapers and magazines. In addition, she wrote six editions of Frommer’s travel guide for Maryland and Delaware and one edition of the Insider’s Guide to Baltimore. Her first novel Divided Loyalties was published in 2017. Her second novel, another historical fiction set in 1783 Annapolis, as well as a prequel to Divided Loyalty set at Christmas are finished and more are on the way.
