Edgar Allan Poe was born on January 19, 1809, and in celebration in advance of his 206th birthday, the Edgar Allan Poe House and Museum (203 N. Amity) will be open to the public with FREE admission. Please visit between 11am to 1pm (front doors close at 12:45pm) on Saturday January 17, OR 11am to 3:45pm (front door closes at 3:30pm) on Sunday, January 18, 2015.
Don’t be surprised if you arrive during some special treats we’re planning. (Admission for this special celebration is free, but donations at the door are encouraged to help sustain our mission to promote and interpret Edgar Allan Poe’s life, death and living legacy in Baltimore.)

POE-Zella! Benefit Exhibit/Auction/Celebration
Please join our full commemoration of Baltimore’s beloved denizen of darkness. We’re planning, POE-Zella!, a Juried Poe-Inspired Benefit Exhibition, Party, and Silent Auction at Zella’s Pizzeria (1145 Hollins Street, Baltimore, MD 21223.)
Our contemporary art exhibit will:
- launch with an Opening Reception on January 8, 2015, from 6-8pm (when silent auction bids will begin)
remain open to the public during Zella’s regular business hours (you’re welcome to submit silent bids for artworks you want to own,)
culminate in our POE-Zilla! Birthday Bash & Benefit Auction on Saturday, January 17 from 1-3pm.
remain on view until January 31, 2015, and winning bidder’s artworks will be available February 1, 2015.
