We’re planning another “Poe’s Guide to Poe: A Critical Autobiography” performance sometime soon!
About this event:
IF you joined us on the recent frigid February night, you’ll know how special an evening it was! And the great news is that we’ll offer this opportunity again sometime in 2015!
(What could be better than an immersive performance about Poe?) The admission was free! Plus donations benefitted Poe Baltimore! It happened on Sunday, February 15 at 7pm at the Single Carrot Theater (2600 N. Howard Street, Baltimore, 21218.)
———————–Here’s what you missed:
The talented folks at Baltimore Performance Kitchen have been cooking up “Poe’s Guide to Poe: A Critical Autobiography” and will offer a SINGLE performance (7pm, Feb. 15) at the Single Carrot Theatre (2600 Howard Street.) Staged in the open lobby space, this intimate and immersive performance-within-a-cockt
Even better—it’s free and open to the public, though since they’re generously offering “Poe’s Guide” to benefit Poe Baltimore, they’re suggest a $10 donation at the door. That’s something we truly appreciate!
Directed by Single Carrot Theatre founding member, Jessica Garrett, it stars Paul Diem* as the world’s beloved Edgar Allan Poe, a man caught between his identity and celebrity. Diem’s intimate yet irreverent performance simultaneously reveres and explores his character as the complex and dark father of the modern short story.
Again, tickets are ONLY available at the door, and we imagine this will be a popular event, so hopefully you won’t plan to arrive at the last millisecond… We’ll post more links soon, and will hope to see you there!
