July Poe & Poets: feat. Cormac White
About this event:
Our popular Poe & Poets live poetry reading series has returned! Join us the second Sunday of each month for a reading of selected poetry and open mic.
Poet, Cormac White, is our featured reader Sunday, July 9. Cormac joins us for a special live reading and slam poetry performance, followed by reading and discussion of selected poems by Poe.
An MFA in Poetry from the University of Oregon, Cormac is a Adjunct Professor of Poetry and Composition at Community College of Baltimore County, Essex, and also an English teacher for Baltimore City Schools. In addition to discussion and reading, he will present his piece, “Sestina for Charm City,” and guests can also peruse his work “From the Flight Deck.”
Space is limited so please RSVP and arrive just before 2PM.
(Please note: The House is small with tight winding staircases and may not be suitable for all visitors. As well, since our visitors include young children, we ask that all readings be ‘family friendly’. Visitors to the Poe House & Museum must pay our normal admission fee.)
Should you have any questions, please let us know several days prior to the event.
