Attention reading lovers: Poe House’s popular Poe & Poets live poetry readings have expanded to include prose authors! Introducing a new author series from Poe Baltimore in partnership with Maryland Writers’ Association: Poe House Presents. Join us the second Sunday of each month as we welcome a new author for a reading of selected Poe stories/poems and an excerpt of their written work.


Nancy Alexander will read Poe’s poem, “Dream within A Dream,” then share an excerpt from her novel, Twisted Realms.

As a psychotherapist, Nancy Alexander provided  intensive, reconstructive  psychotherapy to those recovering from childhood trauma, she developed comprehensive  mental health  staff training programs and actively advocated for social and legislative reforms. Nancy launched her career as an author in 2015, having published five short stories, three novels and recorded seven audio-books. Her novella entitled Elisabeth, can be found on her website at

Space is limited so please arrive just before 2PM. This event is included with the price of admission to Poe House. Please note: The House is small with tight winding staircases and may not be suitable for all visitors.
