Poe House Presents: David Gaylin, August 11, 2019
David F. Gaylin will read Poe’s, “To One in Paradise,” then share an excerpt from his forthcoming book on the death of Poe in Baltimore.
A native of Baltimore City, David spent formative years in Fells Point and has remained in the Baltimore metro area since. His exposure to Edgar Poe was inaugurated by his grandmother, an avid reader of poetry, and who operated a business just below the hospital building where Poe died. David authored Edgar Allan Poe’s Baltimore for Arcadia Publishing. He is a member of the Maryland Historical Society, Poe Studies Association, and is currently serving as President of the Edgar Allan Poe Society of Baltimore.
Space is limited so please arrive just before 2PM. This event is included with the price of admission to Poe House. Please note: The House is small with tight winding staircases and may not be suitable for all visitors.
