Poe and Poetry Calling all POETS! Every second Sunday of the month, starting August 9, we’ll welcome poets to 203 N. Amity Street to read several of their favorite Poe poems (plus a few of their own works.) The event will last from 2:00-3:00 PM each month.

Since space is tight, and to help us promote the day’s program in advance, please register no later than the Wednesday before the program so we can give you the basics. See the below for the registration form.

The day’s pre-registered presenters will receive free admission to the Poe House & Museum starting at 1:30pm.

(Please note: The House is small with tight winding staircases and may not be suitable for all visitors. As well, since our visitors include young children, we ask that all readings be ‘family friendly’. Visitors to the Poe House & Museum must pay our normal admission fee.

Should you have any questions, please let us know several days prior to the event.

We’re looking forward to meeting you and having you share your favorite Poe works…plus some of your own poetry!

Sarai was a finalist for the Poe Toaster, and she would love to attend the poetry readings to perform her own personal tribute to Poe in song.
