July4It’s hard to believe that only 87,655 days will have passed since our nation declared independence (on July 2, 1776) and that less than fifty years later, a young Edgar Allan Poe launched his career from a small duplex on Baltimore’s western bounds.

The Poe House is celebrating BOTH events by staying open on July 4, and welcome you to stop by for a visit. Hope to see you there. and if you mention that “Edgar sent me” and where you saw this when you visit, we’ll give you a special treat!
