grandparentsdaySince Edgar Allan Poe launched his career from 203 N Amity, generously assisted by his grandmother’s military pension (that paid the rent,) we’d like to reciprocate with our thanks to ALL the grandparents who selflessly offer love and support to their grandchildren.

This coming Sunday is National Grandparents Day, and any grandparents who mention seeing this post and bring their grandchildren to the Poe House will be offered free admission.

Note that kids 12 and under will be admitted free with their grandparents, though students 13-21 will be charged our regular $4 fee.

Please be our honored guests, and know that your visit will probably open the eyes of your grandchildren regarding Poe’s life, 1830s Baltimore, and all the things we take for granted today.
