Saturday ‘Visiter’ Awards
The Saturday Visiter Awards are Poe Baltimore’s annual arts awards honoring new work inspired by Edgar Allan Poe across writing, performance, visual art, and media. Named (and spelled) for the historic Baltimore periodical that helped launch Poe’s career, the program celebrates his continuing influence in popular culture and spotlights today’s most inventive interpreters of his life and work. Each year, entries are reviewed by jurors and recognized through public announcements and an awards presentation as part of the International Edgar Allan Poe Festival & Awards.
The Young Saturday Visiter Awards extend the program to student and youth creators in Maryland, inviting emerging artists and writers to engage Poe’s legacy in their own voices. Event listings in this series include calls for entries, key deadlines, and ceremony dates; please check each listing for eligibility requirements and submission details.
