“Words have no power to impress the mind without the exquisite horror of their reality.” — Edgar Allan Poe

DOOMSDAY with National Edgar Allan Poe Theatre

This event takes place at a location away from Poe House.

Join dozens of actors, authors, and community leaders for Doomsday 2024—the third annual 24-hour livestream of Poe’s iconic writings, and a celebration of his artistic roots in Baltimore.  Produced by The National Edgar Allan Poe Theatre and hosted by Poe Baltimore at the historic Carroll Mansion, the event will feature FREE activities for kids and adults, including access to the Poe Death Exhibit, Poe-themed arts and writing projects, Poe Trivia, and, of course, the live reading of Poe's best-loved stories and poems.  For details and an event schedule, visit poetheatre.org.
